
Attention to all the newly R.N., more unemployed nurses will be hired under the Nurses Assigned in Rural Service (NARS) program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). According to Nelia Mabilog, Senior Labor and Employment Officer of DOLE in Iloilo, another batch of 160 nurse trainees will be hired under the NARS program, starting in October 1, 2009 in some of the Municipalities of the said provinces. Interested qualified applicants can register online at http//www.nars.dole.gov.ph.
Qualification for six month employment-cum-training program:

Nurses who are not over 35-year old

Nurses with valid nurse license issued by the Philippine Regulations Commission
-
Nurse with no nursing-related practice for the past three years.
Applicants who failed to join the initial 160 hired nurses under the program that are currently deployed in rural areas of Iloilo and Guimaras will be given priority in this batch, as Mabilog said.
An amount P8,000 stipend/allowance per month while on training to perform public health functions and the necessary clinical tasks to enhance their skills, employability in local hospitals and eventually in medical center abroad.
